VAWG patrols in Huddersfield Town Centre

West Yorkshire Police is committed to creating an environment where women and girls can feel safe and be safe within the county, free from harm, fear, and harassment. The term ‘Violence Against Women and Girls’ (VAWG) includes complex crimes which have a devastating and often life changing impact on victims, their families, and friends.

As part of West Yorkshire Police's VAWG strategy, uniformed patrol has been increased within town centres.

On Saturday 14th FEBRUARY, the increase of officers was seen in and around HUDDERSFIELD TOWN CENTRE. This led to two drug related arrests, a vehicle seizure, several stop searches and the prevention of a violent attack.
